HEC Challenge +: The Undeniable Reference For Aspiring Business Transformation
At the end of this rigorous training, a pitch contest takes place during the HEC Challenge + Forum. The goal of this event? To convince the judges of the project’s viability and business plan. During the recent Forum, three projects stood out, securing the coveted podium positions.
The jury president, Damien Bretégnier, highlighted how difficult it was to distinguish between the projects due to their exceptional quality. The presentations promised significant success for the projects presented in their respective sectors.
Here are the presentations that captured the audience's attention and promise great success in their respective fields.
THE ELEMENT Biotechnology, Top of the Podium
In first place, THE ELEMENT Biotechnology amazed the jury with its revolutionary implantable device called "HOPE" (Hydrogen Operating Parkinson Elimination). Led by Awatef BEN TAHAR, THE ELEMENT Biotechnology designed a medical device that promises to revolutionize Parkinson's disease treatment. HOPE enables neuroprotective therapy targeting patients in the early stages of Parkinson's, right at diagnosis and before the onset of motor symptoms.
Project leader Awatef BEN TAHAR delivered an outstanding presentation suggesting that HOPE could become one of tomorrow’s revolutionary medical devices!
NcodiN Secures Second Place
The second place went to NcodiN, a startup specializing in nanophotonic chips. The team, composed of Francesco Manegatti, PhD, Bruno Garbin, and Fabrice Raineri, developed a groundbreaking chip that transports data within processors dedicated to High-Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence. NcodiN's optical interposer uses photonic circuits—lasers, detectors, and waveguides—to more effectively connect chiplets within an electronic chip. No longer relying on metallic interconnections for data transmission, it uses photons instead, resulting in faster and more powerful processing.
There is no doubt that NcodiN will play a crucial role in the future of advanced technologies.
HELIUP Takes Third Position
Finally, HELIUP secured third place with its commitment to environmental sustainability. Led by Yannick Veschetti and Julien Gaume, HELIUP focuses on designing, manufacturing, and deploying lightweight photovoltaic solutions with low environmental impact. Their goal: to provide sustainable solutions for large roofs of commercial, industrial, and logistics buildings.
The jury was impressed by HELIUP's ecological commitment and recognized the importance of such initiatives in building a sustainable future.
