Sustainability workshop offered to New York Alumni
To illustrate the fact that sustainability is at the heart of HEC Paris’ strategy, initiatives are taking place all over the world, including within the HEC Paris alumni community in the US. On November 15, about 15 participants attended a workshop in New York led by Priyanka Mathur Patel, a 2020 graduate of the Master in Sustainability and Social Innovation (SASI). This was followed by a dinner at Eat Offbeat in Chelsea Market.
On November 15, Priyanka Mathur Patel (SASI 2020) offered an exciting and eye-opening workshop called “EcoLearn impact box” to 15 highly attentive HEC Paris alumni. The vision of the French startup EcoLearn is to provide “training in sustainability to begin business transitioning”. To do this, they want “to empower people with the skills to make business (more) sustainable”. The workshop was then followed by a networking dinner that took place at Eat Offbeat in Chelsea Market.
“We offer this type of event to reflect the sustainability agenda that has been taking place back on campus and that is part of the curriculum”, said Vincent Muzelle, Executive Director of the HEC Paris US Office. Indeed, climate and environmental challenges, social equity, and resource conservation have been consistently inspiring HEC Paris research, teachings, campus management, and outreach in society.
